Invitation Wording

Man, I haven't blogged in awhile. Been pretty busy. Anyways, it actually didn't take us a long time to find our verbiage. We didn't want the traditional wording because we're already married. Now, on to finding the pretty fonts.

We,
Kathleen
and
Ira
invite you to be with us
as we celebrate our new
life together
.....

Simple and straightforward. Doesn't say anything about vows since we already did it. Perfect. =)

Invitations: Final

We bought our invitations today. Whoohoo! Now on to the fun part. Finding pretty fonts. We decided to just get some pre-made invitations that we'll just print and design on our own. We found one that fits the type of invitation style that we both like. It's simple, but pretty. I'm excited for the font hunt. Ira wants to use wingding. =)This isn't the exact invitation, but the style is the same and it is brown. Hehe. I'm excited.

Makeup Trial #1

I had my first makeup trial with Lani. I'm still not sure who I'm going with though. I still plan to look around and try other people. I'm definitely not used to seeing myself with that much makeup. My pictures that I took with my camera make me look like a different person. Although the ones taken by her camera looked a lot better. I'll post that when she sends it to me. She also had me try on these fake eyelashes by Shu Uemura. She got them at a makeup training class. She thought it would be fun to just try it on, especially since our colors are brown and green. Here's a picture of the type of eyelashes I tried. The picture is blue, but the one I tried was green. I actually really love them. =)

Invitations Part 2

Okay, Ira and I created our top 3. Here is the 2 that we are deciding on. Then we have to figure out how to create them.

This is my #1, but Ira's #3.

This is both our #2's.

I guess either one will be fairly easy to make, it'll just be pretty tedious. Lots of gluing and cutting. =) Maybe we'll just have a gluing party.

Music

Okay, I just checked my timeline schedule. I am slightly behind on an item. Well, I'm not behind yet, but technically in a few days I will be behind.

Item to complete: Music selections

Anyone have ideas? I don't...

The only song I have decided on is the father/daughter dance. Her Fathers Eyes by Amy Grant. I'd add the video into the blog post, but I don't know how. =( I think my laptop is too old to do all that.

Well, I do have one, which is to pick a cha-cha sort of song for our first dance. However, I have no idea how to dance like that. =)

Hair

I think I figured out how I want my hair to be done. I want it pulled up, but I don't want it completely pulled back. Something with more of a relaxed look. Now, on to finding a hairstylist for the day.
Maybe the back won't be that detailed as the picture, but I like the main point of it. Unless the hairstylist and I come up with a different style for my hair, this is what I want. Oh, except for one different detail. I don't want a tiara. I want a headband, or maybe flower pins. Next up after I find a hair stylist is figuring out how the girls should have their hair. Honestly, I'm thinking of having them just pick.

Menu: Entrees

The entrees have been decided. We haven't decided on the appetizers cause they were all pretty good. But that can wait.

Salad: Caesar Salad or Greek Salad

Prime Rib au Jus: Slow roasted, rosemary & garlic encrusted with redskin mashers

Mesquite Chicken: Marinated double breast with wild rice pilaf & dark reduction sauce.

Pasta Pomodoro: Penne Rigate with rice tomato sauce & parmesan

I didn't really like the salmon and Ira was just, "eh" about it, so we decided to just take it out and have the third option be the vegetarian plate. Typical wedding food. I would originally want to make the food really really good, but that tends to cost more. Oh well. The cake will be really yummy. =)

Hair

Ok, I still can't decide how to wear my hair. I've decided not to go with the bling because it's too pricey for a hair pin. Maybe a flower or something. Bridesmaids, I'm debating on just having them pick what they want. Each person has a different type of hair, different length. So I'm more on them just having it really fit their look. Here's what I came up with on hair styles for me.

The last two pics with the flower, I do like, but the flowers are pretty huge. Either way, I have a feeling I'm wearing it up because my dress is a tube top, so it may look better with it up. I really do like #5 though. *sigh* Decisions, decisions. What is a girl to do?
